Family Beds

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

It’s possible you’ve found this site mainly because it’s the perfect time to purchase a bed for a growing boy or girl, a guest room, an elderly mom or dad as well as your self. I found myself personally buying for the “all of the above” type when we finally migrated from the Us. to the U.K. My own mind was set on assessing three kinds of bed, cheap beds, single beds and the ever popular divan beds

I have a nice child who is moving on to a “big bed” which means I’ll be spending a few nights a week in this bed. It also will perform like a visitor bed and additionally I actually want to keep it for my mommy when she’s ready to move in to our house several years right from now.

My Fine Victorian House

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

When we bought our gorgeous Victorian property, we needed to use suffolk latches to make certain the house was keeping in character with its past. To make certain we completed the job accurately, I researched the time in which it was built. From this research I could use as many iron monger products as achievable to guarantee I got the look just right. When I looked around the cottage I saw there were lots of ways to make it appear like a Victorian house. I wandered about the people who built the house, the materials they used and the life they led.

Part of the venture also included restoring the barn and storage houses so we used butterfly hinges to make the interior and exterior doors appear like they came straight from the Victorian Era. From a classic ironmongery shop in the town, I managed to find the ideal products that also had a beeswax finish. We were very astonished at the small-town interest in our plans including the neighbors who visited offering their suggestions and ideas. I will always remain enthusiastic about preserving the heritage and character of my marvelous new country cottage.
